We are thrilled to announce that Marta Jadach will be joining us once again at the Timahoe Heritage Festival! Marta has been a beloved part of our festival since it began in 2019, the year we celebrated the 1100th anniversary of the Viking raid on Timahoe in 919AD. Her impressive career and passion for history make her an incredible addition to our event.
Marta is well-known for her work on the hit series “Vikings,” where she worked from season 4 until the show’s end. Her involvement became a full-time job, allowing her to form amazing and lasting friendships. Following “Vikings,” she transitioned to “Vikings: Valhalla,” describing it as a much calmer production.
In addition to her work on “Vikings,” Marta has contributed her talents to other notable projects, including “The Green Knight,” “Knight Before Christmas,” “Tuam’s Journeys” for Wexford Heritage Park, and the documentary “Victims of the Vikings,” where she performed as a stunt artist, complete with a fake beard that she humorously notes suited her perfectly. Her roles have ranged from stunt performer and stunt coordinator to 3rd Assistant Director.
Marta regularly participates as a fighter in Cruachan concert shows and even appeared in their music video “The Reaper.” Her passion for history led her to become a reenactor about eight years ago, allowing her and her group to partake in some of the most remarkable Viking shows and festivals.
Over the past three years, Marta has trained extensively as a stunt performer, mastering skills such as body burns, car hits, wire work, falls, armed and unarmed fights (for which she is qualified), and various types of stage combat choreography.
We can’t wait to see Marta in action at the Timahoe Heritage Festival. Come join us and witness her incredible talent and dedication to bringing history to life!
