Viking Weaponry Display

Timahoe Heritage Festival 2024.

On display at this year’s Timahoe Heritage Festival will be a huge collection of Viking Weaponry, from swords and daggers to axes and shields. This fascinating exhibition really gives you an insight into what the vikings were all about when they went into battle, or ventured off on some of their many pillaging raids; one of which Timahoe fell victim to in 919.

Get a true sense of the size, weight and sheer power of the weapons that helped the Vikings become a truly terrifying invasion force.

The Viking Weaponry Display will take place on both days of this year’s festival, June 1st and 2nd, starting at approximately 12pm each day in the grounds of Timahoe Round Tower & Heritage Centre.
